Professor Dragan retired as a Special Agent with the Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration (TIGTA) in September 2024. Up until December 2020, he was a Special Agent with the Internal Revenue Service – Criminal Investigation for 17 years. During that time, Professor Dragan was assigned to the FBI’s Joint Terrorism Task Force in ÐÔ°®ÊÓÆµ Connecticut where he served for 13 years. Professor Dragan was also the Use of Force Coordinator for the Boston Field Office (New England) where he trained IRS-CI Special Agents in Use of Force, Team Tactics, Weaponless Tactics, and was a member of the Rifle Cadre.

During his tenure at IRS-CI, Professor Dragan conducted numerous criminal tax investigations, as well as international money laundering and other financial fraud investigations. At the JTTF, Professor Dragan worked many counterterrorism investigations and counter-threat finance (Terrorist Finance) investigations. Additionally, Professor Dragan worked other National Security investigations related to counterintelligence and sovereign citizen groups. At TIGTA, Professor Dragan investigated large-scale financial fraud, internal employee misconduct and security, and threats to IRS infrastructure.

Professor Dragan earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice – Law Enforcement Science (‘92) and a Master’s Degree in Forensic Science – Advanced Investigation (‘94), both from the University of ÐÔ°®ÊÓÆµ. Professor Dragan has earned the black belt degree of Godan, 5th degree Master and teaches karate at the dojo he attends.
